Overview

Supports the implementation of PacificSource Critical Initiative to advance health equity and diversity as a core community health strategy.

Responsibilities

Essential Responsibilities: 

  1. Assists the Health Equity and Diversity Strategist in gathering material and information to support workforce diversity aims.
  2. Research and gather literature related to Criticial Intiative 12 (CI 12) - Business case for diversity, inclusion and health equity.
  3. Creates tool-kit and material to support an enterprise wide employee education plan around diversity, inclusion and health equity. 
  4. Other duties as assigned. 

Supporting Responsibilities:

  1. Meet department and company performance and attendance expectations.
  2. Follow the PacificSource privacy policy and HIPAA laws and regulations concerning confidentiality and security of protected health information.
  3. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Work Experience: Related educational experience in the field of Health Promotion, Health Science or related degree program preferred but not required. Ideal candidate is an undergraduate or recent graduate actively pursuing career in healthcare.

 

Education, Certificates, Licenses:  Required to be in a Master's level public health, social/human sciences or related program from an accredited collegiate institution.


Knowledge:  Must possess the knowledge and assume responsibility for performing the functions of the job.  Must perform and be responsible for the functions in a manner which promotes confidence in the person's abilities. Successful candidate will compile data and information, work directly with the Health Equity and Diversity Strategist/Community Engagement leadership on special projects that support the successful implementation of Critical Initiative 12.

Environment: Work inside in a general office setting with ergonomically configured equipment. Travel is required approximately 5% of the time.
