Secure, build, and sustain positive working relations with key constituents including clients, brokers, vendors, and internal departments. Foster a partnership and enhance dialogue with clients, while acting as a subject matter expert. Assist large employer groups and brokers/consultants in building strategically designed benefit programs to support cost containment, quality care, wellness programs and compliance with legal and regulatory guidelines. Participate in the renewal process for assigned groups. Participate in the evaluation of, and responses to, requests for proposals for existing clients. Actively seek opportunities to sell other PacificSource services to current clients. Ensure existing clients are satisfied with and recognize the value offered by PacificSource.
Work Experience: Minimum of five years of related experience in the health insurance industry preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience. A thorough understanding of services and products, administrative procedures, government compliance, and the health insurance industry is preferred.
Education, Certificates, Licenses: BS in Business Administration or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred. Current Life and Health Insurance License (or eligible to earn license)
Knowledge: A thorough understanding of insurance products, contracts, administrative procedures, and the health insurance industry’s legal and mandatory guidelines preferred. Ability to remain current on PacificSource administrative procedures and products, healthcare, and the health insurance industry. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to communicate effectively with all types of individuals. Excellent public relations skills and public speaking ability. Ability to effectively explain plans and administration to groups of varying educational backgrounds and familiarity with benefits. Ability to effectively communicate with various internal departments. Ability to provide prompt, professional, and courteous service to customers, producers, and PacificSource employees. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing shifting priorities and multiple tasks simultaneously. Superior work leadership skills, including taking action without specific direction. Requires a high level of integrity and trust, given frequent exposure to confidential material. Demonstrated ability to remain resilient, flexible, and focused in a changing environment. Work autonomously and independently. Desire to learn new things, anticipate problems, and develop contingency plans to manage them. Travel, with some overnight visits required. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
