Position Overview: This position coordinates and collaborates with key internal stakeholders and departments to support the execution of the Medicare program lifecycle. Key areas of focus include project management, organizing and supporting cross-functional teams, and utilization of LEAN management principles to achieve desired product and business outcomes.
Work Experience: Minimum two years of work experience within Medicare programs required. Managed care experience preferred. Project management experience is preferred.
Education, Certificates, Licenses: Bachelor degree in Business, Marketing or Healthcare Administration, or equivalent experience is preferred. Project management certification is preferred.
Knowledge: Requires strong interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills. Ability to define and prioritize problems and manage workload without direct supervision and the ability to work as part of a team with strong relationship building skills is essential. Requires extensive understanding of goals, processes, procedures, and dynamics of managed health care programs, particularly Medicare insurance products within the health insurance industry, at both the national and State level. Requires strong math skills, including percentages, ratios, statistics, graphing, and spreadsheet skills. Proficiency in Windows Operating System Environment, and Microsoft Office Applications.
Environment: Work inside in a general office setting with ergonomically configured equipment. Travel is required approximately 5% of the time.
Physical Requirements: Stoop and bend. Sit and/or stand for extended periods of time while performing core job functions. Repetitive motions to include typing, sorting and filing. Light lifting and carrying of files and business materials. Ability to read and comprehend both written and spoken English. Communicate clearly and effectively.
