    Position Overview:

    This position will perform administrative functions on behalf of the Medicaid Administration department. Under limited supervision, assist Medicaid Administration staff in ensuring organizational adherence to contractual requirements with the Oregon Health Authority, external entities, providers, and payers. Employ an effective and efficient organizational skill set to coordinate department needs. The Medicaid Contract Coordinator will coordinate PacificSource activities to ensure contract deliverables are met. Working closely with CCO leadership and other stakeholders, the Medicaid Contract Coordinator will manage contract management plans, schedules, timelines, and oversight/monitoring plans, as necessary. The Medicaid Contract Coordinator will provide support on critical work groups to track and document contract changes. This role interacts with internal and external stakeholders, including PacificSource subcontractors and PacificSource departments.


    1. Develop effective solutions and manage schedules, timelines, activities, milestones, and coordinate final submissions to ensure consistency and timeliness. This includes coordinating with leadership and key stakeholders to ensure timely and complete submissions of a minimum of 60 State deliverables per CCO.
    2. Coordinate with and support subcontractors and internal and external stakeholders to provide a resource for contract questions, expectations, and requirements.
    3. Maintain a current working knowledge of applicable Medicaid rules and regulations.
    4. Coordinate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support analysis and reporting efforts consistent with Medicaid line of business priorities.
    5. Create and maintain spreadsheets for managing and reporting on metrics and other data for subcontractor agreements.
    6. Provide support for aligning Medicaid contract activities in each CCO region.
    7. Support and collaborate in Medicaid audits to include investigation and follow-up on findings, recommendations, or areas for improvement.
    8. Provide administrative assistance to the Medicaid Administration department, including meeting packet preparation, meeting minute proofreading and distribution, field and adequately respond to Medicaid related inquiries, maintain document control on SharePoint, and provide peer review for team documents.
    9. Maintain collaborative partnerships with key PacificSource departments and leaders.
    10. Assume a supporting role in working with providers, the State of Oregon, and other partners


    Supporting Responsibilities:

    1. Perform day-to-day tasks for the Medicaid Administration department as needed.
    2. Meet department and company performance and attendance expectations.
    3. Follow the PacificSource privacy policy and HIPAA laws and regulations concerning confidentiality and security of protected health information.
    4. Perform other duties as assigned.


    Work Experience: Minimum three years of experience in the health care, managed care, or public health administration industry and/or equivalent experience required. Relevant knowledge in the following areas preferred: the Oregon Health Plan, healthcare operations and demonstrated organizational skills.


    Education, Certificates, Licenses: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree or Bachelor’s degree preferred.


    Knowledge: Excellent organizational skills demonstrating efficient documentation methods. Demonstrated successful communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to be nimble in a fast-paced environment with competing deadlines. Demonstrated skills with the following software: Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio.

    Environment: Work inside in a general office setting with ergonomically configured equipment. Travel is required approximately 10% of the time.


    Physical Requirements: Stoop and bend. Sit and/or stand for extended periods of time while performing core job functions.  Repetitive motions to include typing, sorting and filing. Light lifting and carrying of files and business materials. Ability to read and comprehend both written and spoken English. Communicate clearly and effectively.
