  • Overview

    Coordinate, track, and support multiple quality improvement projects across lines of business including Provider education, member engagement, measure specific initiatives, and the annual Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS) audit. This position will provide key support for HEDIS Program operational and submission tasks, and HEDIS Program quality improvement initiatives.


    1. Maintain program calendar and project dashboard.
    2. Support the end-to-end project management of the HEDIS audit in coordination with the assigned Project Manager or the Program Manager.
    3. Use appropriate project management tools to coordinate, measure, and support assigned projects.
    4. Learn and understand existing Quality, Risk, and HEDIS business processes. Determine opportunities for operational improvement and support of strategic goals. Champion change according to company directives.
    5. Collaborate within Quality and across functional lines to meet the objectives of the HEDIS program and assigned projects.
    6. Facilitate HEDIS improvement initiatives, post-audit analysis, and member engagement initiative reviews in collaboration with the HEDIS Business Analyst and the HEDIS Program Manager
    7. Schedule and facilitate project and initiative meetings
    8. Serves as point person and conducts oversight for assigned Vendors.
    9. Run daily HEDIS stand-up and facilitate sprint planning and retrospectives with direction from the HEDIS Program Manager
    10. Coordinate with HEDIS Business Analyst to manage quality backlog

    Supporting Responsibilities:

    1. Meet department and company performance and attendance expectations.
    2. Follow the PacificSource privacy policy and HIPAA laws and regulations concerning confidentiality and security of protected health information.
    3. Perform other duties as assigned.


    Work Experience:Project coordination or project management experience in a complex environment required. Two years of experience in the health insurance or medical industry, knowledge of CMS STARS, HEDIS, and/or NCQA preferred.


    Education, Certificates, Licenses:Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent well-rounded education and experience.


    Knowledge:Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including at least basic knowledge of Visio and MS Project. Ability to identify techniques and develop standardized work methods to improve program efficiency. Ability to work across business and system groups at all levels.

    Environment: Work inside in a general office setting with ergonomically configured equipment. Travel is required approximately 5% of the time.


    Physical Requirements: Sit and/or stand for extended periods of time while performing core job functions.  Repetitive motions to include typing, sorting and filing. Light lifting and carrying of files and business materials. Ability to read and comprehend both written and spoken English. Communicate clearly and effectively.
