  • Overview

    Supervise and provide oversight of the Sales and Service and Sales Coordinators across the enterprise, working collaboratively with all sales and operations team members. This will include daily troubleshooting, process improvements and ongoing management of the team.


    Essential Responsibilities:

    1. Identify processes and workflows needing updating and documentation via daily work as well as process improvement initiatives.
    2. Coordinate business activities by maintaining collaborative partnerships with key departments.
    3. Assist with hiring, staff development, coaching, performance reviews, corrective actions, and termination of employees.
    4. Actively participate as a key team member in department meetings.
    5. Actively participate in various strategic and internal committees in order to disseminate information within the organization and represent company philosophy.
    6. Participate in cross functional workgroups that support our ongoing success.
    7. Remain current on PacificSource procedures, policies and products.


    Supporting Responsibilities:

    1. Meet department and company performance and attendance expectations.
    2. Perform other duties as assigned.


    Work Experience:  A minimum of 3 years experience in a sales support or operational role.  Experience working in all lines of group health insurance (fully insured small and large group and self funded).  Demonstrated experience working cross functionally to deliver on the needs of constituents.  Prior demonstrated leadership is preferred.


    Education, Certificates, Licenses:  High school diploma or equivalent education required. 


    Knowledge:  General office skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office.  Ability to gain knowledge of state and federal laws affecting group health insurance and agents.  Ability to gain knowledge of PacificSource products, contracts and workflow.  Demonstrated knowledge of the health insurance industry.  Proficiency in the use of various systems to support sales and cross functional partners.

    Environment: Work inside in a general office setting with ergonomically configured equipment. Travel is required approximately 10% of the time.


    Physical Requirements: Stoop and bend. Sit and/or stand for extended periods of time while performing core job functions. Repetitive motions to include typing, sorting and filing. Light lifting and carrying of files and business materials. Ability to read and comprehend both written and spoken English. Communicate clearly and effectively.
